Today I am sharing some pretty sensitive information with you, you have to keep it a secret.
A personal friend of mine is an avid trail walker and knows some of sydney’s best nature tracks filled with amazing scenery and some epic views.
I’ve asked him to share his favorites with me, which is kind of a big deal considering the less people that know about them, the better – consider this your lucky day.
At the end of the email I’m going to link to them and I want you to explore one in the next few weeks.
Why?
It’s pretty simple.
Because science that’s why.
Natureis in our DNA.
Feeling stressed out? Change your environment.
Life too crazy at the moment? Change your environment.
Need some space? Change your environment.
Change your environment by getting out in Nature.
Here’s what I notice when I’m in nature.
1. Time slows down.
2. I’m much more grateful.
3. I’m a lot more calm and happy.
4. I think more contemplative.
5. None of life’s ‘big’ issues bother me.
Studies pretty much all point in one direction —> Nature is not only nice to have, but it’s a have-to-have for physical health and cognitive function.
It can lower blood pressure and stress hormone levels, calm your nervous system, enhance immune system function, increase self-esteem, reduce anxiety and also improve mood.
The growing body of research — combined with an intuitive understanding that nature is vital and increased concerns about the overuse of smart phones and other tech, has led to tipping point at which health experts, researchers and health practitioners are now proposing widespread changes aimed at bringing nature into people’s everyday lives.
