How Your Thoughts Control Your Life

Today I’d like you to try something.

I’d like you to try and bring more awareness to your thoughts and your internal self-talk.

Your mind does not know, and actually really doesn’t care if what you tell it is right or wrong, good or bad, true or false, helpful or very unhelpful – it just lets it in.

Your mind’s job is to act on the words that you tell it.

But what if what you are telling yourself everyday is this:

I’m not good enough

I’m never going to get fit

I’m getting old, that’s why everything hurts.

No one will ever love me

I have no desire for anything

etc etc

You can’t fight your wiring, but when you understand how and why your mind operates you can then work with it, instead of against it, to learn how to control your thoughts and get all the changes you want.

It’s operates in the most simple way.

What you present to your mind, your mind will present back to you.

So you see how damaging the above thoughts can be?

Telling yourself you are getting old and becoming more forgetful WILL accelerate your ageing process and make you more forgetful.

Does your 6 year old ever forget their backpack or books when you pick them up from kindergarten? Probably..

Your every thought and word form a blueprint that your mind and body work to make your reality.

So today, be more aware of your self-talk.

When a negative thought about yourself comes up, push it away and replace it with a positive one.

Mastering your mind and learning how to control your thoughts doesn’t require a lifetime just consistent practice.
